Dying people, is it alarming to you?

OHCHR works to protect “The human rights framework spells out the responsibilities of duty bearers to rights-holders with respect to all human rights harms, including those caused by environmental degradation ” in order to “Support for the inclusion of civil society in environmental decision-making processes, access to information and effective remedies for victims ” The OHCHR facilitates “ Research and advocacy to address human rights harms caused by environmental degradation, particularly to groups in vulnerable situations ” In this situation there needs to be concrete evidence that there is a relationship between climate change and the death or displacement of people.  The notion that everything is interconnected with all else in the world, even universe (multiverse), is logical. It is a sad day when “Environmental human rights defenders face danger and sometimes even death for their tireless work protecting the environment ”  Let’s face it, one should be able to work on a cause the

UN or not

In its section dealing with “climate change and human rights” Analysing Intersections between Climate Change and Human Rights reports compiled by D aniel Uribe Teran and Luis Fernando Rosales establish that “all countries recognise the need to take action” and “ the world will overshoot the 1.5°C threshold in 20 years or less” and “This means more frequent droughts, flooding, heatwaves and other extreme weather effects affecting most regions of the world, particularly the most vulnerable people ”   The fact is that organizations that form committees and councils are not the actual countries themselves which they represent. The world that will overshoot some threshold (measured and monitored and decided by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) of 1.5 degrees Celsius is what will cause the earth to be uninhabitable.   If things weigh in the balance, why do not all people in the prominent countries agree on the danger and the Celsius measure given by the IPCC? (the IPCC ma

POLICY

“Curiosity devoid of integrity can lead questioners down a rabbit hole of disinformation . Developing the ability to ask meaningful questions in the face of uncertainty requires both a disposition toward open-ended curiosity and an understanding of the ethical practices that support inquiry with integrity. When information-seeking is cast as a matter of making personal choices or winning arguments, social responsibility can seem to be in conflict with self-interest (which, in late capitalism , has become the definition of “freedom”). That conflict is ripe for exploitation and in-group/out-group antagonism” This paragraph comes for the Project Information Literacy and its aim to cover weaponization of uncertainty indicated by the preface to the work that says: “ The way we introduce college students to research fails to encourage the ethical practice of open-ended curiosity so desperately needed in today’s complex information environment ” Please notice the keywords underlined i

"I take responsibility" (???)

“I take responsibility” is a video on Sam Harris’ website.   I agree that there have been injustices in OUR history.  There are arguments that people use to justify slavery and other injustices in American history. These are based on history, as traditionally presented, not considering the material outside the gathering of the canon of American historical studies. For example, and we have all heard these: Africans were the slaveholders that sold slaves to the white mxn, and the indigenous people in the Americas were already at war among themselves when the white mxn took their land.  There is an article The Unkind Cut, or who invented Scalping , by James Axtell and William C Sturtevant, which outlines the violence that “Indian” people underwent at the hands of whites, French, British, etc.  Chief Cornplanter, of the Seneca tribe illiterates, how “the French offered to furnish with instruments of every kind and sharp knives to take the skins of their [enemies’] heads”  The history of sc

Consider if you will . . . . . . .

Have you wondered why the Left wants to rid us of one nation under God?  It is not only God they want to eliminate; they intend to destroy the idea of “nation.” This is done through praise of everything but nation.  Homi K Bhabha, in The Location of Culture says that he is not challenging only nationalism, but the historical certainty he wishes to distort and destroy, as well. So Bhabha praise immigrant as migrant and criminal as statistic. The criminal is seen as one who awaits release into the nation. Bhabha writes, “I have lived that moment of the scattering of the people that in other times and other places, in the nations of others, becomes a time of gathering. Gatherings of exiles and emigres and refugees; gathering on the edge of 'foreign' cultures . . . the gathering of people in the diaspora: indentured, migrant, interned; the gathering of incriminatory statistics”  “nation fills the void left by the uprooting of communities and kin”  If you want to get a feeling for

Warning about the waning voice

Janowski complains that “My saying that the Italian Dante is the greatest poet can only meet with a riposte: What makes you think so! How dare you. You hold such a logocentric, Eurocentric view!” Some recite “hogwash,” and present anti-Classical education as the gold standard of education.  I see the value of multiple voices, but academia and the media would have us with a univocal (one voice) rhetoric and propaganda.  For those unaware of these issues and who desire to think beyond the mantra of the Left, I recommend Zbigniew Janowski’s book Homo Americanus: The Rise of Totalitarian Democracy in America .  When the Leftist complains that there is a threat to democracy, what this means is that the supposed “majority” speaks and that there is a supposed “minority” voice that needs to be extinguished.  This silencing of the voice of the opposition is the intention of the democracy presented.  The “majority rules” is a definite rule by the ruling class, i.e. the elites (Hollywood and the

Read carefully

Zbigniew Janowski reports, in Homo Americanus: the Rise of Totalitarian Democracy in America, that George “Orwell was, no doubt, a very acute observer and aware of the fact that changes in language constitute the core of social consciousness, and if it is weak, a return to normalcy is impossible” In Orwell’s 1984 as Janowski writes “the Party would coin new vocabulary and slogans to patch up holes in social reality, of which ‘The workers with the Party and the Party with the Nation’ was probably the best sounding and socially effective, but also the most pernicious . . . If you stand up to the Party, the Party has the right to crush you, and it will do it in the name of the nation, which stands behind it.” I, at wewillnotcave, want you to notice the use of the words “language” and “nation.” It must become apparent to you that, as Janowski talks about a one-party system, and that was how it was in Orwell’s 1984, “ language” about the “nation” is crucial.  When a party gains total and

on Nation

The idea “Nation” is being deconstructed and re-construed before our very eyes.  If you watch media of any kind or listen to political debate you will see this happening.  Efforts to ruin the nation of the US must be resisted in these crucial times.  Please reconsider reading my posts on this topic and consider how the postcolonial machine works.  Glad to be back, and there will be more later.

Abraham

Harris B Bechtol explains that when Abraham was given the task of sacrificing Isaac, this was done out of, as Derrida called it, “secrecy”   This meant for Derrida that Abraham was acting with a “lack of knowledge,” whereby Abraham could not articulate or explain to others. This expectation was followed by Abraham out of “ faith ,” as the writer of the book of Hebrews would call it. Bechtol also has the following interpretation of Abraham’s situation. “Abraham responds ‘absolutely … without hoping for a reward, without knowing why yet keeping it secret’ (Jacques Derrida in Gift of Death p 73). The economy of Abraham’s sacrificial responsibility is an an - economy, an economy without circular exchange or reciprocity” We, like Abraham, are asked to do things that often do not make sense to us.  Jesus makes it clear we are to forgive others, even of the egregious things. It happens that one offends another and one carries the guilt with them (as with Albert Camus’ Stranger ) for the rest

Derrida's religion (read them and weep

Harris B Bechtol explains that Derrida's religion which is religion without religion is " Jewish or hebraic" in origin which makes sense given the work of Gideon Ofrat on Derrida's Jewishness.  At the least Derrida's religion is derived from Abrahamic ideas.  Another person's work who is significant is Simone Weil obscurantist and negative theologian. Weil writes about awaiting God and shows that God comes to us.  This is reminiscent of Abraham Herschel's God in search of Mxn.  Starting from less than and moving upward God reaches out to us by either emptying God's self as in Philippians.  Bechtol explains that Derrida's reading of Genesis 22 (see Emmanuel Levinas and Soren Kierkegaard) "does not require belief in the historicity of Genesis 22"  historicity does not matter to the scholarly reading of a text. I H Marshall once wrote a book entitled Luke: historian or theologian which addresses this dichotomy which faces scholars as they a

Need God

This morning I realized that this world needs Jesus.  Dietrich Bonhoeffer stated that Jesus Christ is for me, Christ is for everyone and the church but specifically for me ( you). Jacques Derrida states that there is a reaction to the death of God and that reaction is an existential responsibility. Albert Camus said something about this as well.  The question is why would one need to be responsible for anything if there were no God or there is the death of God?  Derrida goes as far as to say that we have a sacrificial responsibility in a shared narrative. For Derrida there is religion without religion.  What is missing in all of this is what is called revealed theology and this is where God becomes known as incarnate and for us.  God is not the god of the philosophers and scholars, but the God that is revealed (revealed theology) that "needs" the event of a revelation.  We can talk about religion, theology, and beliefs for of against the existence of God.  Many non-Christians

Justice and Righteousness

Marx “is accused of being outdated by the champions of a capitalism rapidly reverting to Victorian levels of inequality” Just like with global change, Leftists imply that these are the worst of times, contemporary times. Granted, in the last two years, the world economic forum, and the present governments (largely socialist), wealth has been “equalized” by the drastic payouts of federal governmental entities and certain persons in power. This flood of money being generated and printed has softened the wealth of the US and that socialist intervention has not worked in the terms of making for equity and inclusion for the poor.  Victorian, indeed, one can see how wealth redistribution has helped the US, none. Socialist efforts and communist policies have wrecked economies and that is the goal, and to destroy the moral fabric of nations.  It is the goal of the world economic forum is to destroy the boundaries between countries, the postcolonial move to destroy even the concept of "na

WAR CRY

Elias G. Carayannis et al explain that the “impact of our pursuit of prosperity at any cost on the environment triggers displaced people floods and viral pandemics undermining the standard of living and more importantly the foundations of trust in institutions and in a better tomorrow feeding populist movements and autocratic trends in democracies as well as emboldening dictators” There are quite a few assumptions here, that there us a relationship between pursuit of prosperity and the degradation, as well as decline of the foundations that make society better (whatever that means). There is also the assumption that there is a direct relationship between happiness and natural and biological (or man-made) manifestations (e.g. pandemic). These assumptions are at the bottom of the diatribe liberals have been part of their war cry for decades. Are these assumptions sustainable, given the emotional connectedness between these issues and the ones who propagate them? There has been the conc

A concept about the way we think

There is a book that addresses how we no longer think but rather how media think for us. This is an excellent little book packed with a punch to the gut about what media does to us.  It names the phenomenon “fusion” whereby we are violated and controlled by media.  Now, as in earlier posts, I identified the phenomenon by which algorithms determine our experiences; it must be kept in mind that fusion happens as well.  The thing about this idea of fusion is that it determines one's personal experience, and it is unrelenting in its pursuit of, and invasion into, our daily lives. It implies that media affects even the smallest to the most profound experiences.  We see the world, even the natural world, through the lens of media experience. Fusion is the prima fascia determinant of our life experience.  This is a perfect scenario for an Orwellian-type order to be in effect worldwide.  We are prone through fusion to experience the world exactly as media determines it.  We think what the

Everybody gets the best

You’ve seen it on the screen many times:   “Everybody gets the best” But I say to you that if everyone were to get the best, there would be no best, because everyone would have the same.   Simply put, there would be equal quantities of the same thing for everyone.   There would be no one who exists with the best; therefore, again there would be no best.   How many ways can this be put, it is not logical nor possible for everyone to have the best, because there would not be any worst or worse to pass out to anyone.   This play on words is a trick; it is neither believable nor possible.   Once again the media lies.

NewsNation network

New news station is coming out, Newsnation. The Left has beaten down the ideology that pushes and accepts nationalism.   “Nation” has been deconstructed and/or destroyed.   There are now no boundaries between peoples, the one world is underway. The channel Newsnation uses “nation” as a ploy to seem patriotic to those who do not think for themselves. No one thinks for themselves, the media thinks for them.

DEMON (continued)

Antonio Sosa explains that Ryszard Legutko believes "Political correctness is, in essence, the attempt to compel the human mind to only say and even think thoughts that accord with the insatiable appetite of equality. Legutko is a stern critic of contemporary liberal democracy who is fundamentally concerned with prospects for human excellence under a political order in which what is common to all men is increasingly taken as the standard for understanding what man is"  If Sosa's reader (of his review of The Demon in Democracy) stomachs the continual use of the words "man" and "human" then they may get a sense of what Sosa thinks of Legutko's book. Sosa carefully explains that the book does not revell in the disdain for something outside of liberal democracy (of the socialistic type, i.e., the democracy of "modernity," Sosa calls it) or communism. It is as though Legutko tries to stay objective in his discussion of both but also sees liber

DEMON in DEMOCRACY

Ryszard Legutko, in The Demon in Democracy , states, “ equality resembles a monster with an insatiable appetite: regardless of how much it has eaten, the more it devours, the hungrier it becomes” This is how one can tell how much it means for those who are so-called justice warriors can accomplish with a fight for equality which is a disguise for redistribution of wealth. This is a moronic move because there are always going to be others who have more.  This system of equalizing, or making equal, operates off of envy and covetousness. As more and more people migrate (immigrate) into a nation, more and more will be the divide between those who have and those who have not or those who have little.  Then the equalizer, that monster that beast, comes to devour more wealth and spreads it around.  Somewhere along the line someone notices that the old monster is getting top heavy, the lining of that beast is being filled with wealth. Written as metaphor, hopefully you can see the point he

Totalitarianism (soft or hard, or neither)

At https://lawliberty.org/book-review/soft-totalitarianism-coming-or-going/ James M. Patterson points out the following: “(Toma) Križka admits, ‘With our eyes fixed intently on the West, we could see how it was beginning to experience the same things we knew from the time of totalitarianism… Once again, we are all being told that Christian values stand in the way of the people having a better life. History has already shown us how far this kind of thing can go.’ (Rod) Dreher is more optimistic” Patterson quotes Dreher in the interview with Križka, as he affirms, “‘The culture war is largely over—and we lost. The Grand March is, for the time being, a victory parade. But then, so were the May Day marches and pageants in all the cities and towns of the late Soviet Empire.’ The era of soft totalitarianism may soon be ending”  This assessment is a bit flippant and flies in the face of the commonalities between the Soviet Revolution and the impending revolution, if not an actual revolution,

THINK PEOPLE

People do not know how to think because social media and the mainstream media think for us.  Additionally, an 80 some years old NYU professor is being dismissed because “his classes are too hard” The class is organic chemistry taught to medical students.  The future of health lies in the hands of fools, whining babies. It is time for us to look to the mountains from which our salvation comes.  One of these is the Humanities, aka Humxnities for and in the academy, and we must not be fearful but take the influence of the humanities back, especially to the Church. If we are to take these arts back (writing, criticism, theory, etc…) we must be pronounced in our work.  That place at which you find yourself in life is affected by the humanities.  Consider while you watch the news on your television how sex is presented on the news and during the commercials.  What do the humanities have to do with these matters?   Everything!!! All the language you hear on the screen is manufactured by liber

Them

Are you tired of hysteric crying liberals?   It is time to NOT give way to them, oooops, I just them-ized them, oooops, did it again.   This is an invitation to make a difference in the next few months. Remember, we will not cave.   You cannot shut them up, but you can help to d/c their power.   The real hegemony has been the progressives and liberals.   If you wish to swing the pendulum away from their insane and inane politics, join in spreading the message that we will not cave.   Opportunities like this come infrequent in a lifetime, so take the bull by the horns, now.

Excellence, Part II

Excellence is replaced by subjectivity, and that is measured by its diversity and inclusiveness, all of subjective states and claims are relative, but the Left is about what George Orwell’s following phrase is about. “ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL BUT SOME ANIMALS ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS”  There is coming, and already is a ruling class called “liberals and progressives”  This will be more pronounced for those who helped to secure power for the elites, especially when the lowly are being whittled away and disappear.  This stark warning openly implies the depression and suppression of excellence, which is to be and already is replaced by mediocrity, evil, beguiling, and fear-mongering.  Classic al thought is being replaced by theory which destroys values and meaning, replacing them relativism and challenge to anything in tradition. It is certain that we ought to hear the message of the long oppressed and it should be understood that a ruling class is not going to rescue anyone from poverty or
