affirmations gone amok

" Affirm" this, I am sick and tired of affirming all the politically sappy nonessentials, that frankly offend me. The medical field, in concert with its corruption and dangerousness, has caved in this cultural “moment.”   It will be the church which must drive the major institutions in the future, where they fail us.   HuMANity is faltering, and it is now the time for the church, once again I say, to “come out of Babylon.” Healthcare of every kind is giving way, we as the church must stand up for the right, the good, the truth, and the holy.   All is to become under God’s provincial “moment” and we will see the church either follow the glorious trail that will be burnt ahead of us, by God’s shekinah, the pillar of fire, that which is so bright we can only turn our backs to it. The humanities, social sciences, hard sciences, philosophy, literature, many fields of thought and fields of study and fields of practice, will be wrest from the grip of the evil one(s).   God will onl

Satancon, look it up

There is going to be a satanic Satancon in Boston.  How much should a Christian know about satanism.  Have you read the satanic Bible written by Anton LaVey.  Do you own a copy?  what do we need to know about our enemy?  It seems critical that we know what we are up against in this cultural moment.  We have the power through God's glory not just through prayer to derail the Satan convention.   The question is whether or not there will be enough Christians present in Boston to pray that God cast The satanic people out of the city. Question is, what kinds of actions, civilly, to assure their families are safe from satanism?   All the clusters of Christians with their Benedict Options, miss interaction with the world in a significant way. It is time for the church to come out of Babylon, from its stupor, and rise again.  Jesus promised we can do mighty things and we can, given the where with all. Who wants to take up what croos and bear it. Be it with the schools, the police (supporti

Two things to ponder

News: “Man stabs wife at Bible Study” immediate response intended to illicit, Christians are bad mean people.  The headline states that this happened but gave no other indications.  Fact is, many men around the world stab their “partners”   This headline is designed for one purpose and one purpose only.   That such purpose is to raise the eyebrow of those “surfing the web” It is for many to glance at and make and reinforce the stereotypes which Christians are to viewed with every day.  Rep Lauren Boebert and other Republications passed a parents’ rights bill, and the media shows a picture of the congressperson with a scowl on her face.  Images and short quips stay with people as they are provided by media in ways that they are designed.

Drinkin' with the priests, drinkin with the priests, we will go rejoicing, drinking with the priests.

Matthew 10   34  “Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.  35  For I have come to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.  36  And a person's enemies will be those of his own household” Thought I would take a word out-of-order, but this text is often interpreted by using the Pauline idea of the Word of the Lord being as two-edged or as the part of the armor of God. If one can consider walking straight into the liberal machine of definitions, including those from entertainment or Netflix, in a talk, discussion, or sermon, then Christians are as Nietzsche had said, as sheep. Do your FaceBook and your Instagram, but leave these out of your explanations of Biblical Truth.  It is bad enough to use Paul to interpret Jesus, but Hollywood to define Biblical and theological matters, do not water down Truth with garbage.  Talking about whom to pray for,

protecting one's own

What is constructive criticism compared with harsh tones.  Have you ever felt criticized and felt that the only response you could have is to strike back?  This is the predicament of the possum cornered by hound dogs.  With her back against a tree, protecting her own self and perhaps her young.

Christian megalomaniacal

Christians have not demonstrated the capacity to have communication with others because they spend their time in a fantasy world. The scripture phrase “in this world not of it,” is interpreted to mean that the only membership Christians have is in heaven, the kingdom of God.  The fact is, as far as membership goes, there is a sense in which the church is a social club, and it is easy for you to get blackballed.  There is a neglect of civil duty, “we do not discuss politics.”  That is how they apply the “not of it.” Civic duty is out the window. The founding of the US was on Godly principles at the least which is reflected in the popularity of deism, but more formally it was Christianity (among the people common) which shaped and formed US culture.  To be “in this world” means just that; take on your civil duties.  “Not of it” means we have and will have an eternal home with the Lord God outside of time and space.  If your leaders are teaching a passivism and acceptance of the current

CRGT and Satan

Wewillnotcave was talking about, a cognoscente of and knowledgeable in critical race gender theory (CRGT) as early as 2012 (frankly, as early as 1980).  These positions have been popular as a revisionist approaches to history and find their roots in Lyotard and Habermas and other critical theorists.  In the 1980’s (and even earlier) in the university theoretical positions about gender and race were difficult for churches to handle.  Wewillnotcave was blocked from teaching these ideas in the church by Satan, for years.  CRGT became problematized and misunderstood by Christians, particularly white Christians, from 2020 and beyond, based on misconceptions.  A challenge to the classical approach to history is inevitable and necessary in order for our understanding of white dominance in the world and how the global north and west have been protected from assaults on their characterization of historical figures.  This “they” (white Christian male hierarchists) need a healthy challenge, but a

CRT and me

Sarah A. Radcliffe once wrote “Postcolonial approaches have attuned geographers to the politics of giving voice to postcolonial subjects, and the intricate emotive histories that can be both challenged and brought into post-colonial nation- building”   The challenging of these emotive histories happens when the work of Howard Zinn, which presents the histories of the people, about the formation of the US, is challenged.   Certainly alternate stories are necessary in order to help us have a balanced understanding about history.   When such stories and histories conflict this brings-up again old unrest and rivalries that were sure fired guaranteed wins for the whites in the day. Like Zinn, postcolonial and anti-colonial writers do more than theorize, they present us with what we should consider valuable and see them as more than just renditions of history.   All of the argumentation against critical race theory sits well in a church classroom full of whit
