Christian megalomaniacal
Christians have not demonstrated the capacity to have communication with others because they spend their time in a fantasy world. The scripture phrase “in this world not of it,” is interpreted to mean that the only membership Christians have is in heaven, the kingdom of God. The fact is, as far as membership goes, there is a sense in which the church is a social club, and it is easy for you to get blackballed. There is a neglect of civil duty, “we do not discuss politics.” That is how they apply the “not of it.” Civic duty is out the window. The founding of the US was on Godly principles at the least which is reflected in the popularity of deism, but more formally it was Christianity (among the people common) which shaped and formed US culture. To be “in this world” means just that; take on your civil duties. “Not of it” means we have and will have an eternal home with the Lord God outside of time and space. If your leaders are teaching a passivism and acceptance of the current political situation in the West, then you may want to steer clear of them as they are leading many down the path of the destruction of the US and others.
That which has driven most people away from the Christian faith is church polity along with poor leadership. Many state that it is the hypocrisy which has driven them away or out of the church. Frankly pastors, priests, and preachers are poor diplomats. They are judgmental, monarchical, if not megalomaniacal, and cannot resolve problems between laypersons. In addition they generally do not keep things in confidence. Confidentiality is not something they are held accountable to; never explain a personal problem with clergy, they have no scruples. Of course your pastor(s) do not suffer from such problems, nor do mine. Beware of the forces that might push you away from your faith, practice, and religion. You could end up teetering on the edge of, say, orthodoxy.
